Boys Varsity Basketball vs. Quaker Valley High School

Knights Lose: -
The Knights traveled to the defending 4A WPIAL champions last night, the Quaker Valley Quakers. The young Knights got out to a 9 point 1st quarter lead, leading by 4 at the half and 1 going into the 3rd. The knights youth showed in the final 2 minutes and Quaker Valley seniors showed there experience. Leaving QV with a 58-53 loss, was disappointing, but this team continues to grow, get better and we are looking forward to our Home opener against undefeated Armstrong on Friday night. Knoch was lead by Freshman Guards Teegan Finucan 20pts, and Jackson Bauman 15pts and 4 assists. Along with Derek Lang 's 7pts while Freshman Big man Zane Pacek, turned in his best game of the year with a 6pts and 8 rebounds

Knights Lose: 54 - 57
Day 2 at the Butler Tip Off tournament, saw our Knights in action against City League opponent Obama Academy. Knoch played a very nice 1st half, only down 24-20 despite committing 10 TO and giving up 11 offensive rebounds. The 3rd quarter saw Obama extend there lead to 11. The boys never stopped fighting, with 15 seconds left, on a Jackson Bauman lay up, Knoch cut the lead 56 - 54. After a miss a the foul line by Obama, Bauman had a chance a the buzzer to send it into overtime. Byt the shot came up short. What a great weekend for this young team, to gain experience against two different types of opponents. The Knights are back in action on Tuesday evening as we visit the defending 4A WPIAL Champions and PIAA runner ups Quaker Valley

Knights Lose: 60 - 74
Knoch open the season against last year 3A WPIAL Runner up at Butler High School. Both teams battled and played hard, Avonworth leading 41-36 entering the 4th quarter, was able to pull away with a 33-24 advantage in the 4th quarter. The Lobes inside presence and rebounding was the difference. This does not take away the Knights defensive effort tonight. Teagan Finucan paced the Knights with 25 including at 5/5 performance from the "3" Jackson Bauman had 14, the other Knight in double figures. Knoch will back in action tomorrow afternoon against Obama Academy at Butler High School.
