Girls Varsity Soccer vs. South Park High School

Knights Lose: 1 - 2
The Knoch Knights made 2 hour bus ride to take on South Park in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs. The first half saw both teams get a few chances in front of goal, but both goalies came up with saves in big moments. South Park was able to strike just before the half when a corner kick was deflected in with just 3 seconds to go. Knoch fought back in the second half to tie the game. Kamryn Burtner received a ball around half field and beat two defenders before calmly placing a shot to the back post. South Park was awarded two penalty kicks in the second half, but Hannah Klemm came up clutch stopping both. Knoch forced the game to overtime. With just a few minutes left, South Park got onto the end of a free kick and finally were able to get one by Klemm. The Knights finished their season with a gutsy performance, and were just inches away from moving on to round 2 of the WPIAL playoffs. Congrats on a great season girls!

Knights Lose: 1 - 2
Knoch lost a close one to Deer Lakes in their last regular season game of the year. Brooke Galcik opened the scoring in the first half when she finished a cross from Lauren Bowser. Deer Lakes responded shortly after to tie the game. Deer Lakes scored the go ahead goal in the second half from the penalty spot. Knoch will take on South Park in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs on Tuesday night.

Knights Lose: 0 - 1
Knoch lost a nail biter against Freeport 1-0 on their senior night. The Knights worked hard all night but were unable to find an equalizer after Freeport scored in the second half. Hannah Klemm was able to Knoch within striking distance adding 9 saves to her tally on the year. The Knights take on Deer Lakes in a regular season finale on Monday night. Hats off to the Knoch seniors: Gretchen Foehringer, Willow Danehy, Brooke Galcik, Izabella Oskin, Laurel Hull, Macrina Robb, Meredith Martin, Hannah Klemm, and Alaina Fields for all of their accomplishments and many more to come.

Knights Win: 13 - 0
Knoch took on Valley at home on Monday night. The Knights won 13-0 with goals coming from: Gretchen Foehringer, Willow Danehy, Brooke Galcik, Maggie Barnes, Emma Slusser, Izabella Oskin, Kamryn Burtner, Grace Hensch, Laurel Hull, Macrina Robb, Hannah Klemm, Miranda LaJevic, and Alaina Fields. Assists came from Maggie Barnes (2), Lauren Bowser (2), Emma Slusser (2), Izabella Oskin, Laurel Hull, Macrina Robb, Hannah Klemm, Emma Bayer, Alaina Fields, and Annika Dadowski. Knoch takes on Freeport at home for their next game, which will be senior night on 10/11. 
Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Ambridge Area High School

Knights Win: 3 - 1
Knoch hosted Ambridge on Saturday morning for a 10AM kickoff. The first half was a stalemate with neither team able to edge ahead. The second half opened up when Macrina Robb finished her own deflected shot to put Knoch up 1-0. Macrina Robb scored again when Grace Hensch played a great ball behind the defense. Ambridge put the pressure on again when they finished a rebound off of the football goalpost. Emma Bayer put the game away with a few minutes left on a Bella Oskin cross to seal it 3-1.

Knights Win: 9 - 0
Knoch defeated Apollo Ridge 9-0 on Wednesday evening. Macrina Robb had 2 assists and 2 goals on the night. Kamryn Burtner had 2 goals. Izabella Oskin had 1 goal and 1 assist. Emma Slusser had 2 goals and an assist. Brooke Galcik had 2 goals. Lauren Bowser had 2 assists. Lily Crowley had 1 assist. Emma Bayer had 1 assist. Hannah Klemm added 2 saves on the night and Izabella Rock had 1 save.

Knights Lose: 0 - 3
Knoch lost a tough one on Monday night to Burrell. They gave up an early goal a few minutes into the game and Burrell was able to get another one before the half. Burrell got a third goal in the second half to seal the game. Hannah Klemm had 9 saves on the evening.

Knights Win: 1 - 0
Knoch traveled to Greensburg Salem for a non-section game on Thursday night. Macrina Robb scored the lone goal in the first half to give Knoch a 1-0 lead. That was all the Knights needed as they held on to win. Hannah Klemm added 3 saves to her tally on the season. The Knights will travel to Burrell on Monday night to start the back half of section games.

Knights Win: 3 - 2
Knoch hosted Deer Lakes for a section matchup on Wednesday night. Gretta Hull opened the scoring in the first half when she finished a cross from Macrina Robb. The Knights took a 1-0 lead into half time before getting a 2-0 lead when Kam Burtner got on the end of a cross from Emma Slusser. Deer Lakes made a come back scoring 2 goals in quick succession to make the game 2-2. Kam Burtner got the winner for Knoch with 3 minutes to go when she put away a low cross across the box from Macrina Robb. Knoch will travel to Greensburg Salem tomorrow night for a non-section game.

Knights Lose: 2 - 2
Knoch traveled to Freeport for an important section game on Monday night. The first half went scoreless, but things began to open up in the second half. Bella Oskin scored the first goal of the game when her free kick went over the goalies head to give Knoch a 1-0 lead. Freeport responded a few minutes later with a goal of their own. They went on to take a 2-1 lead a few minutes after that. Emma Slusser tied the game up with ten minutes to go when she placed a cross from Macrina Robb into the top corner. The game went to overtime, and neither team was able to find a winner. Hannah Klemm added 15 saves on the evening to help Knoch keep the tie. 
Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Gateway Senior High School

Knights Lose: 2 - 2
Knoch competed in a non section game against gateway over the weekend. The first goal of the game came from a Lauren Bowser cross that was converted by Macrina Robb. Gateway tied it up later in the first half. Knoch took the lead again when Kam Burtner was fouled in the box. The penalty kick was finished by Emma Slusser. Gateway did not go away, and tied the game up on a penalty kick. Hannah Klemm added 6 saves throughout the game to keep Knoch with a tie. Two overtime periods were still not enough to separate the teams, and the game ended in a 2-2 tie.

Knoch hosted Burrell for a section matchup on Wednesday night. The two teams were evenly matched with the game going back and forth. Knoch started out the scoring when Kam Burtner finished a cross from Miranda Lajevic. Freeport answered back later in the first half. Knoch scored again right before the half when Emma Slusser shot from distance and the rebound was put away by Lauren Bowser. Burrell came back in the second half to tie the game up about ten minutes in. Hannah Klemm made some key saves to keep Knoch in the game (9 total saves in the game). Burrell scored the winner with 4 minutes to go, and Knoch was unable to make the come back. The game ended 3-2 Burrell. 
Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Slippery Rock Area High School

Knights Win: 6 - 0
Knoch hosted Slippery Rock High School on Monday night. The Knights scored early in the game when Kam Burtner finished a through ball played in by Macrina Robb. Kam added another goal later in the game. Brooke Galcik, Bella Oskin, Gretta Hull, and Macrina Robb all had one goal. Lauren Bowser and Emma Slusser assisted on goals in the game, and Macrina Robb ended up with 3 assists on the night. The Knights finished with a 6-0 victory, and will play Burrell Wednesday night in a section matchup at home.

Knights Lose: 0 - 1
Knoch lost a hard fought battle on a rainy night at home. The score was tied 0-0 going into the second half, but Hampton was able to convert a penalty kick for the game's only goal. Knoch resumes play on Monday night in another non-section game against Slippery Rock at home.

Knights Win: 13 - 0
Knoch got their second section win on a warm night away at Valley. The final score of 13-0 came with 2 goals from Brooke Galcik and Macrina Robb. Maggie Barnes, Lauren Bowser, Emma Slusser, Izabella Oskin, Kam Burtner, Laurel Hull, Jenna Galcik, Hannah Klemm, and Annika Dadowski all contributed a goal on the night. Brooke Galcik had 2 assists on the night; and Maggie Barnes, Emma Slusser, Grace Hensch, Laurel Hull, Macrina Robb, Miranda LaJevic, and Alaina Fields all added an assist. The Knights are home against Hampton on 9/7 for an out of section match-up. 
Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Apollo-Ridge High School

Knights Win: 6 - 0
Knoch opened up their section game play with a 6-0 win over Apollo-Ridge. Macrina Robb scored the first goal of the night with the assist coming from Bella Oskin. Knoch opened up their lead in the second half with goals from: Lauren Bowser, Emma Bayer, Brooke Galcik, Gretchen Foehringer, and a second from Macrina Robb. Bella Oskin had 3 assists on the night, Emma Slusser had 1, and Brooke galcik added 1 as well. Hannah Klemm made 3 saves to keep her clean sheet.

Knights Lose: 1 - 3
Knoch lost their home opener vs. Shadyside in a hard fought battle. Izabella Oskin opened the scoring for Knoch with an assist from Macrina Robb. Shadyside was able to get back into the game and scored the next 3 goals of the match. Hannah Klemm added 13 saves on the night. The Knights will be back in action Wednesday night at home for their first section game against Apollo-Ridge at 7PM
