Knoch Knights Middle School put up nine runs in the second inning on it's way to a 12-4 victory over North Hills Middle School on Wednesday. The offensive firepower by the Knights was led Eddy, Linamen, Allison, Pelloni, Lang and Fundark, all driving in runs in the frame.

North Hills got things started in the first inning when Eddy induced a fielders choice hit, but one run scored.

In the bottom of the first inning, the Knights tied things up at two when McCurdy and Allison hit back to back solo home runs.

The Knights pulled away for good with nine runs in the second inning.  In the second an error scored one run, Linamen singled on 1-0 count, scoring one run, Allison singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs, Pelloni singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs, Lang doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run and Fundark doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Simons was the winning pitcher for Knoch.  The righty came in with 2 outs in the first inning and lasted two and a third innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out five and walking one.  Linamen and Breese entered the game out of the bullpen and helpted to close out the game in relief.

The Knights scattered 13 hits in the game and commited no errors.  Pelloni, Allison, Lang, and Breese all had multiple hits for Knoch.
