Thursday's game against Plum was a heartbreaker for the Knoch Knights Middle School, as they lost the lead late in the 7th inning in a 5-4 defeat. The game was tied at three with the Knights batting in the top of the 5th when Cooper Allison singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
In the first inning, the Knights got their offense started when Kyle Morgan's sac fly scored one run. Zane Pacek pitched six and a third innings, allowing five runs on six hits and striking out 13. Pacek also went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Knights in hits.
