NORTH ALLEGHENY HIGH SCHOOL: 47
The 7th Grade Boys Basketball Team fell 47-44 in an overtime thriller at North Allegheny's Carson Middle School on Wednesday. The Knights were down 5 heading into the 4th quarter, and forced 4 consecutive turnovers on defense with less than 3 minutes to play. Liam Avon and Brody Bauman came up big in the 4th quarter, scoring 8 and 5 points respectively to tie the game at 41 at the end of regulation. Roman DeFelice scored all 3 of Knoch's points in overtime, and the game was tied at 44 when CMS hit a desperation 3 pointer with 11 seconds left. Knoch got off a last second 3 that rolled around the rim and fell out. Bauman led the Knights in scoring with 16 points, Avon had 13 and Evan Fink scored 7. The Knights play at Riverview Thursday and host Leechburg Friday to finish up a stretch of 5 games in 5 days.
