Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Basketball Team who defeated Armstrong 40-34 to win the Armstrong Tip Off Tournament. The girls played a stifling defense which limited the River Hawks all afternoon. Leading the Knights was Nina Shaw who recorded double digits scoring 13 points. Freshman Karlee Buterbaugh chipped in with 10 points and both Hattie McGraw and Maddie Boyle netted 8 points each for the balanced attack. The JV team lost a hard fought battle in the final seconds 29-26. Adah Fuller lead the team with 8 points. Both teams will be back in action on Monday December 13 when the team travels to Hampton for a non-section match up. Good Luck Knights!
