FREEPORT AREA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 2
Knoch took on Freeport in a big section match on Wednesday night. The game was very even throughout with both teams creating chances. Macrina Robb was able to break the deadlock late in the first half after Megan Vasas played a through ball that was tucked into the bottom right corner. Freeport continued to attack through the second half, and they were able to work their way to a 2-1 lead with 20 minutes to go in the second half. Knoch was able to force overtime with a few minutes to go when Macrina Robb played a free kick into the box that was able to be finished off by Emma Slusser. This forced overtime, which was looking like it was going to head towards a 2-2 tie before Emma Slusser was able to put a long range free kick into the top corner. Hannah Klemm made key saves throughout the match and totaled 16 saves.
