Knoch entered the week tied for first place in Section 1-4A with North Catholic and a shot to win their first Section Title since the 2018 season.  A split with North Catholic would have given Knoch a share of the section title. The Trojans took Game 1 on Monday, 10-4, and Game 2 on Wednesday, 2-1.  The Knights end section play tied for second with Highlands, with a 6-4 section record, and have a handful of non-section games to finish out the regular season as they await the WPIAL playoffs.  

On Monday, Knoch faced one of the WPIAL's top pitchers in Justin Stupka and the lefty lived up to his repuation as he worked 5 innings and surrendered just 5 hits.  Eli Sutton singled in the first inning and doubled in in the third, but the Knights wouldn't get another hit until the bottom of the 5th when the score was 8-0.  Angelo DeLeonardis had 2 singles in the game.  

In Wednesday's game, Jacob Wagner got the start on the mound for Knoch and had his best outing of the season.  Wagner went 5 innings and held North Catholic to just 5 hits, while surrendering 1 earned run.  Angelo DeLeonardis threw a scoreless 6th.  Offensively, the Knights' could only manage 5 hits and 2 walks.  Isaac Roddy had two hits, including a double, and Logan Cypher had 2 hits and the only RBI of the game for the Knights.  

Knoch travels to Avonworth on Thursday for a non-section game at 4:00 PM.  On Monday, the Knights celebrate Senior Night with another non-section matchup against Shady Side Academy at 5:30 PM at Pullman Park in Butler.  The regular season finishes up next week with three more non-section games against Butler on Tuesday (7:00 PM at Pullman Park), at Kiski on Wednesday (4:00 PM), and against Penn Hills on Thursday (5:30 PM at Pullman Park).
