FREEPORT AREA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 0
The Knights completed the 2 game sweep of the section series with Freeport on Friday at Pullman Park, winning 7-0 on the strength of some great pitching and defense. Jacob Wagner threw a complete game in 88 pitches, allowing only 4 hits and fanning 8 batters, as the defense backed up his pitching with no errors.
Knoch scored 2 in the 3rd and put the game out of reach in the 5th with 5 more runs. Eli Sutton had another mutliple hit day with a 2 run double and a single, and Isaac Roddy had 2 hits for the Knights.
Knoch faces Indiana Monday at Pullman Park at 5:30 and at Indiana Tuesday at 4. Both teams are 4-2 in section play and are chasing first place North Catholic who sits at 5-1.
